Designed as a 2U rack server, the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 supports dual 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Platinum processors, with a maximum power consumption of 205W. Memory capacity can reach up to 9TB, utilizing 24 DIMM slots configured with 128GB DIMMs and Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory, operating at 2666/2933MHz TruDDR4 speeds.
For expansion, it accommodates up to 7 PCIe 3.0 slots and provides various riser options, including a dedicated PCIe slot for RAID. Storage capabilities include 14 hot-swap bays for 3.5″ drives or 24 bays for 2.5″ drives, in addition to support for up to 12 AnyBay bays and 24 NVMe bays. There are also provisions for 2 M.2 boot drives configured in RAID 1.
The server supports hardware RAID with up to 24 ports and flash cache, alongside up to 16 ports for HBA. Security features include TPM 1.2/2.0, hot-swap components, and front access diagnostics via a dedicated USB port.
