The POWER9 scale-out family introduces the first fully cloud-ready entry servers, complete with integrated PowerVM Enterprise capabilities. With built-in on-chip analytics, clients can optimize workload performance by adjusting processor frequencies dynamically. Additionally, Live Partition Mobility is included, facilitating seamless migration from older Power Systems to the POWER9 infrastructure. The Power S914 server supports single-processor sockets, featuring configurations of 4-core (2.3 to 3.8 GHz max), 6-core (2.3 to 3.8 GHz max), or 8-core (2.8 to 3.8 GHz max) POWER9 processors in a 19-inch rack-mount, 4U drawer or desk-side setup. It accommodates up to 16 DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting memory options of 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB at speeds of 2133, 2400, and 2666 Mbps, enabling a maximum system memory of 1024 GB.
